Here’s a quick exploit in Dredge to get unlimited research parts. At a price.
Head to one of the travelling merchants, rest and exit the game. Return to your game, and you should see two research parts in the miscellaneous tab in the shipyard section.
To purchase these, you still need money, so do a loop around the coast and source what you can (I’d recommend buying loads of crab cages and dispersing them right next to the traveller).
Each research part costs 350 credits, so you might need to do some farming. Whenever the merchant runs out, simply rest until 6 am, and the parts should restock.
This method still takes time, but it is much more reliable than relying on faith and exploration.
