The following is a review by my 8 year-old daughter. This is an exclusive as it's her first ever review!
A game to play if you enjoy racing friends and family OR race bots. There’s Grand Prix Knockout Tour, Battle Mode, VS Race and even a new one Free Roam where you can roam around in any race track you want!

Character customisation
I like the idea of adding costumes so you don’t get bored with their usual clothes.
You can collect them while you’re on the road, they are in food bags and when you use whatever food you got if you’re in luck you’ll get a costume but sometimes you can just get food that doesn’t do anything! As you go along you can earn some new characters. I’ve got quite a few costumes to be honest.
Items
In my opinion the worst item to get attacked by is the BLUE SHELL because if you are in 1st place and someone throws a blue shell someone might overtake you which is very annoying but I don’t think I have been hit by one before. I think the most useless item is probably the coin it gives you a small boost. I found out that if you’re further back you get better items.
My favourite things
I don’t have a specific character to be but I like using maybe Yoshi or Peach?
I like using karts that have high acceleration but also high speed. I actually enjoy Knockout Tour because I like the challenging part when you have to be 1st place near the end. Free roam is great for collecting costumes because if you go collect one it after you teleport to another track then keep collecting them so you get lots of costumes!
My least favourite things
While we’ve been playing matches there’s always that one Donkey Kong that always really annoys us, like when one of us is in 1st place but then Donkey Kong zooms past us so we try to get past him before it end sometimes we do sometimes we don’t.
I don’t like the fact that if you get a food bag then hope to get a good costume you might get a duplicate one that you already have or you don’t get ANYTHING!
I would recommend this game if you’re interested in racing games and playing with friends.
