The name’s Laffer, Larry Laffer and he’s back in Leisure Suit Larry Wet Dreams Dry Twice, out today on Steam and GOG. I meant to write about my experience with the demo earlier, and this prompted me to pump it out today. Yes, the tone was intentional.
Once again, the bumbling idiot finds himself in a compromising position that isn’t sexual (initially) and has to marry the daughter of the sage, El Rey, just one of many characters from Leisure Suit Larry Wet Dreams Don’t Dry and the sequel and the epilogue. With Faith out of the picture, sorry, it’s in the opening of the demo, Larry has to prepare himself for the wedding.
It’s the familiar territory once more with the gorgeous hand-drawn visuals from before, stellar voiceovers and a play on phallic objects, panties and cringe-worthy lines. Larry taught me everything about the ladies since my first adventure in Leisure Suit Larry Looking For Love (In Several Wrong Places) – a game on my wishlist once I have the time.
Leisure Suit Larry Wet Dreams Dry Twice Preview
If nob jokes and innuendos aren’t your thing, it might grate on you a little, but for myself and a loyal bunch of perverts, we’ve been following Larry’s snail trails since the days of Al Lowe at the helm. CrazyBunch has done a fantastic job once again, and this is only the demo.

What I didn’t like about the game is having to go through a recap of the previous title – necessary, but when you know the story inside out, you want to skip past this as well as the tutorial on how to play a point and click. That said, the dialogue is brilliant and well worth going through.
Hairy-palmed male teenagers will forever exist, so perhaps this little introduction into Leisure Suit Larry Wet Dreams Dry Twice was to reel in a new generation of point and click adventurers. I’m biased, of course, but the genre is timeless.
Mind, you don’t need to have played the previous instalment as the NPCs cover the story pretty well. It wasn’t convoluted to start with, but it just confirms you can continue where you left off or start anew.
Unwind In Cancúm
Familiar faces return to the mix on the tropical island of Cancúm, including the fate of tech giant Prune. Pi, your portable AI returns, forever powerless to Larry’s quips and stupidity. You use her once more, this time by taking photos as a reminder of items you can’t necessarily pick up at the time.
Timber has gone in Leisure Suit Larry Wet Dreams Dry Twice, so there will be no swiping this time, but Instacrap is back to reminisce about your seedy shots. You also have a Do It! app to highlight your objects and what needs to be done to proceed. Also added is the Blueprint app, which helps you build complicated items.

From the demo alone, there seem to be many more features and interactive depth (now I’m overthinking everything I’m writing). Once again, it’s a fun ride but strictly for adults only and those whose parents just let them get one with whatever it is they do in their rooms.
But titillation it’s not, and despite the buxom surroundings or a dilapidated hotel and references to overgrown bushes, the self-aware humour is on par with his last adventure with some very quirky characters once again – the bellboy being a highlight.
It was only recently that I finished the Leisure Suit Larry Wet Dreams Dry Twice demo and had every intention to write this up sooner, so for these last few words, it’s to wind it down as it completely escaped me that the game is out today, so looking forward to providing a full review in due course. For now, out of two, I’d give it one.
