Shadow Man: Remastered Out Of A 4:3 Shadow

Comic book fans and 32-bit crusties may be pleased to hear of Shadow Man: Remastered - out now for PlayStation and Xbox - featuring a 4K widescreen option.

One of my favourite games on the Sega Dreamcast was Shadow Man – a comic book voodoo hero dealing with Jack the Ripper. Well, it gets a new lick of paint as it’s out now as Shadow Man: Remastered.

A very good-looking friend (definitely not me but the spitting image and even has the same name and birthdate), once downloaded an emulator that featured a copy of Shadow Man – deterred by the £30 ‘retro’ price online (it cost £20 when I – he bought it in the late 90s).

Despite the emulator folk doing a good job and all, it looked… shitShadow Man has aged, but the feeling is still there. Fortunately, Nightdive Studios has gone ahead and given it some 4K widescreen support, anti-aliasing and ‘other stunning improvements’.

Shadow Man Remastered will most likely appeal to people like my friend-who-isn’t-me, me, and perhaps comic book fans. Here are the features if you’re interested:

  • 4K 60FPS visuals on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X
  • Trophies and Achievements on PlayStation and Xbox consoles
  • Gyro-aiming on Nintendo Switch
  • Anti-aliasing and other post-processing magic
  • A whole new visual experience with dynamic shadow mapping and per-pixel lighting
  • Never-before-seen content previously cut from the original game

Here’s the shadow one:

Shadow Man: Remastered is out now on PS4/5 and Xbox One, and Series X/S. A Nintendo Switch version is in the works…

If you share this, I'll love you forever (ish)
