Marvel’s Iron Man VR Delayed Until May 2020

Another delayed title for 2020, but it's only January and surely it's realistic to let people know sooner rather than later? The latest casualty is Marvel's Iron Man VR.

Not brand spanking news that’s so hot off the press that it’ll melt your face, but Marvel’s Iron Man VR, from Camouflaj, has been delayed from next month to mid-may.

It seems there’s a pattern with delays; The Last of Us Part II, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Cyberpunk 2077, me finally fulfilling that gym membership… but it’s inevitable. Gamers can be hard to please, so I get why developers want to ensure that their product is the best it can be. Iron Man VR is the latest casualty.

I’m not particularly fussed as Iron Man doesn’t do anything for me. Too masculine. However, after seeing the trailer, it got me a little interested and I’m likely to ‘take it out for a spin’ when and if it is released on the new date. I also needed to pad out my PSVR section with some more articles.

If you’re a Marvel fan, you might already know that the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers title has also been delayed, and now Iron Man VR. I didn’t know much about it other than a recent spread in Retro Gamer with a bit of a focus on Miss Marvel. Just looking it up on the official site from Crystal Dynamics, Marvel’s Avengers has been delayed until September.

As fans ourselves, it’s an honor and a privilege to work with these legendary characters and we know what these Super Heroes mean to us and True Believers around the world. When we set out to bring you our vision for Marvel’s Avengers, we committed to delivering an original story-driven campaign, engaging co-op, and compelling content for years to come. To that end, we will spend this additional development time focusing on fine tuning and polishing the game to the high standards our fans expect and deserve.

When I see True Believers, I just think of The X-Files. Yet, there’s going to be a lot of disappointed fans out there, Marvel’s Iron Man VR will have to fill the void. Once that comes out, of course. I could go on about how good Marvel’s Avengers looks, but I would hate to wish your life away – there’s plenty of other options like 2018 game; Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry. It’s my most recent review, give me a break.

Vulgar Knight: bringing you late, opinionated ‘stay-on-the-site’ news. I might do a piece on the new PS5 logo, around September time. For now, it’s all about Marvel’s Iron Man VR. Ain’t that the truth?
