Jumpala Will Make You Jump, Jump

A platform racer that encourages sabotage to get the most points, Jumpala is out now on Steam.

Do you know those platforming games where you have to reach the top, racing against time, and often lava? Well, Jumpala is like that, only it’s a competitive jumper where you have to race your mates (or frenemies).

From Yokereba Games and Versus Evil, this indie title is now available for Steam. It’s a game that relies on lightning-fast reflexes, but a strategy too as you have to contend with unpredictable opponents.

From a roster of seven characters, each with a unique ability, players have to turn platforms into their colours each time they land on them, converting to points.

Platforms in Jumpala may fall, but you can expedite that through special moves such as bombs, or even freeze an opponent, allowing you to secure a few more platforms for the goal of getting the highest score.

Jumpala’s got an addictive formula that mixes fast, competitive gameplay inspired by fighting games and platform puzzle games. Gamers looking for a new party title won’t be disappointed.

Steve Escalante, General Manager of Versus Evil.

Key features include:

  • 4-player competitive action. Compete with your friends in fast-paced free for alls, or team up in 2v2 matches. No friends? Go up against challenging CPUs, or compete against others in online 1v1s.
  • Easy to learn, tough to master. If you want to be the best, you’ll have to plan your routes, practice your timing, and perfect your positioning—all while being mindful of your opponents.
  • A wide variety of stages. Each stage has unique features and hazards to watch out for.
  • Original set of characters. Each character has their own unique abilities and playstyle.

And this is the game in action:

Jumpala is out now on Steam for $9.99USD with a 10% limited-time launch discount.
