Dune: Spice Wars Coming To Early Access

More news on the Dune game - Dune: Spice Wars is coming to Early Access in 2022, courtesy of Shiro Games and Funcom.

Hot on the tail of the last post on the upcoming Dune: Spice Wars game, The Game Awards (again), showcased a new trailer for the survival game, and seeing as that wasn’t in the last news piece, it’ll be embedded below.

From Funcom and Shiro Games, the game based on Frank Herbert’s novel will be released in Early Access next year. It will feature several playable factions so that you can control Arrakis. But let’s face it, Harkonnen was always the best in game terms.

I think I speak for every single person at Shiro Games, when I say that we are all massive fans of Dune – both of the original novel and the new and spectacular Denis Villeneuve film. To be able to bring this universe to life as a strategy game again is incredible.

Let us not dismiss David Lynch’s Dune. Yes, he’s one of my favourite filmmakers. Yes, it’s terrible, but it’s not his fault. Fellow Brits (maybe the rest of the world, too) can watch it on Netflix to see why Sting should stick to mushrooms.

So, Dune: Spice Wars has a new teaser trailer and quite Frankly Herbertly, this is a title that I’m desperate to play. Dune 2 (I’ve said this), was one of the best RTS‘ of all time. Fact.

Look: it has a Steam page now! Add Dune: Spice Wars to your wishlist.
