The headline for Dealer’s Life 2 brought back fond memories of Dope Wars. If you’ve been knocking about on the internet for a fair time, you’re bound to have come across it. However, this game isn’t that sort of dealer.

Think Pawn Stars, or thereabouts. Set in a pawn shop, you steadily build up your inventory by haggling the best prices, so you come out tops, and ideally without getting ripped off. That’s what some folk will do to you in this simulator if you don’t watch out.
From Abyte Entertainment and Too Indie To Fail, Dealer’s Life 2 may come as a surprise, but it’s actually a sequel and currently in Early Access. Within just the first four months of launching, it sold over 100k copies and consistently features in some of the top played games on Steam.
There’s quite a defined roadmap for this game, with heaps of features and variations to play around with. Here’s a list of what to expect in the game:
- The most technically advanced negotiation engine you’ve ever seen
- A myriad of items to buy and sell with fake and counterfeit items to avoid (or exploit!)
- Infinite customers to haggle with, each with their own personality and appearance
- Hire employees to help you with your job: search for the best experts, restorers, profilers, analysts, clerks and many others.
- Auctions! For times when you crave a little bit of extra adrenaline… aaand SOLD!
- Lots of humour and quotes from cult movies and videogames
