It’s amazing how much of an impact the internet has. It’s no longer a luxury but a necessity. After almost 24 hours of no access, I find a neverending backlog and news that Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition is out today.
Unfamiliar with the plot, it appears that you play a hero looking to save the people from a group of oppressors… skip to the end; this is the plot for most games, but where Dandara: Trials of Fears Edition stands out is its complete disregard to gravity as the levels rotate all over the place making this one challenge of a game.
Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition, from Raw Fury, is a 2D Metroidvania that features many new improvements and extra levels in this version – all free updates for those already own the game. Based on the planet of Salt, you play Dandara who is able to jump off any platform that she encounters.
Other than visual improvements, here are some of the other features you can expect in this edition:
- Explore beyond The Hidden Realms, where Salt’s fears reside
- A new big boss
- New powers and mechanics
- A new secret ending
- 16 new music tracks! These new tracks focus on the gloomy aesthetics that reverberates in all hidden places of the Salt
- A whole new focus on story, fleshing out the lore of the Salt and its inhabitants. Find new descriptions, dialogues and cutscenes for existing characters and environments!
- 3 new achievements on PC and Xbox One, 3 new trophies on PS4
It’s very much ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ as Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition jumps about like a flea on speed, and the levels flip more than a pig in heat.
Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition is out now for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Steam – even on mobile too!
