If you’ve been following the news for Curious Expedition 2, or a fan of the first one, you’ll already know that the game exists in the Early Access phase on Steam, but the bona fide version is out in early 2021.
From Maschinen-Mensch and Thunderful Publishing, this is a journey of exploration, survival and further boasting to your peers. This time around, there are three great Explorer Clubs of Paris looking to swoop in on the most exquisite of treasures the world has to offer.
Set in 1889, you concoct a crew to accompany you on this, almost rogue-like expedition, discovering all sorts of cultures, flora, fauna, treasures and more. The visuals have also been cranked up in Curious Expedition 2, inspired by the classic Franco-Belgium comics of the 20th century.
We want to thank our Early Access community for helping us via their feedback to continually add to and improve Curious Expedition 2. We are close to having the game ready to ship, but need a little more time for it to meet our standards for the 1.0 release.Lorenzo Pilia, Producer at Maschinen-Mensch.
One of the very many appeals of the first title was the procedurally generated aspect, meaning no adventure is as same as the one before it. Unpredictable tribes, treasures that may or may not have greater value than your fellow club members and plenty of beasts to battle, Curious Expedition 2 is a game I’m looking to getting stuck into.
Here’s a trailer (the Early Access one) for your eyeballs:
