Yeah, that headline was going to end up a lot worse than that – really. But childish comments aside, Cherry Island is an ambitious action title that features jets and guns.
From indie game developer Adrien Jeanneret, you join Rebecca Willow, an Air Force Chief in the Nations Defensive Alliance (NDA) and protector of Cherry Islands. The enemy is Z-Corporation – a military outfit convicted by the UN for being a threat to sovereign nations.
Here, there’s so much on offer with six campaigns that incorporated eight single objective missions that include FPS challenges, flying an FA-18 jet and even a zombie survival mission.
Missions can be selected as you choose, and the zombie mod is optional. Ride in cars, boats, helicopters and sailing boats – it’s a bit of a free-for-all and sounds a lot of fun.
Here’s a Cherry Island cinematic trailer:
Cherry Island is scheduled for release towards the end of 2021, but players can dip their toes now in Early Access. It’s fully playable with additional content and missions, based on player feedback.
