Billion Beat: Time To Beat One Out On Steam

Lots of ‘beat’ jokes but no Michael Jackson song references? Billion Beat comes to Early Access on Steam.

We all love a good beat ’em up, so why is it there aren’t that many boxing titles these days? Sure, Fight Night and the UFC series can fill the void, but what if you want something a bit more vibrant than monotonous flesh tones? Enter Billion Beat, from Dronami.

Reminiscent of Super Punch-Out!!, which it notes in the specs anyway, Billion Beat is a skill-based boxing game where you progress through a series of fights, building your skill base as you go along.

A little similar to the title that influenced it, timing is everything, and you need to land a flurry of punches until you can perfect that perfect powered up attack. It’s encouraged to upgrade.

I needn’t go further in my own interests for this game as it refers to aesthetics similar to Ren & Stimpy and TMNT – throw in a Beavis & Butt-Head comparison, and I’m already in the front row.

At the moment Billion Beat is in Early Access stage so you can only play one character. Still, by the time it releases (you fight ‘a large alien penis-man that can ejaculate on the player’ – there’s a release joke in there), you’ll be able to play two other players.

Want to see it in action? Still thinking about that gentleman’s relish statement?

Again, Billion Beat is in Early Access. For more info, have a look-see at the Steam page. If you’re thinking about additional ways for a beating, have a look at the Drunken Fist review.
