Android Hunter A Brings Retro To The Steam Age

Megaman fan? Maybe Android Hunter A is for you, and it has nothing to do with mobiles. Out now on Steam.

Android Hunter A is a love letter to the Megaman series. It’s out now, and it’s available on PC via Steam, from developers Digiplox Studios.

A retro-inspired action platformerAndroid Hunter A is a 2.5D adventure with a corrupt robot uprising. It’s your job to put a stop to this tomfoolery, and your sole purpose is to save the day.

Armed with a rocket launcher, clearly a protagonist with finesse, the game draws upon the classic Megaman series, but it’s not about reliving the retro era, but bringing to a new generation, featuring combat influenced from the likes of Tekken and Street Fighter.

Android Hunter A started as a love letter to the Megaman X series, but over the years, our ideas and expectations became more and more ambitious, to the point where it became much more than that.

For my tastes, I don’t need to go any further – I’m there, but here are some of the key features:

  • The classics, reborn – The world of Android Hunter A pays tribute to the beloved classic action side-scrollers of the past, with an updated arcade twist.
  • Non-stop, unpredictable action – Shoot, jump, parry and drive your way through a wide variety of environments as you hunt down powerful mechanical enemies.
  • Become a powerful hero – Corrupted androids swarm the streets and it’s up to you to bring them down. Upgrade your favourite skills and customise your appearance to create your own unique Android Hunter.

But these are only words. How about seeing it in action?

Android Hunter A is out now on Steam. You don’t need to wishlist it when you can buy it now…
